Inductory Physical Anthropology
Description:
This course begins with an introduction to the major subdivisions of anthropology. It then moves on to evolutionary theory, the biological foundations of life and principles of heredity, primate taxonomy and ethology (study of behavior). It includes consideration of modern human biological variation and adaptation, and an extended examination of the several stages of hominid (human) evolution as demonstrated by the fossil record.
