This course is designed to help students develop the knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary to succeed in a leadership position. Vision, creativity, delegation, empowerment, team building and communication skills are some of the important topics covered in this course. The ability to influence followers and get their willing cooperation to achieve organizational goals and objectives is a major responsibility if a leader is to be successful. Case studies, review questions and team assignments will be used to help students learn how leaders achieve success. Each student will be required to do a research project on a leader in business, industry, government, or not-for-profit organization.
