Description:
This course reviews and explains what everyone needs to know about the law from a practical perspective. Team-taught by the Criminal Justice/Public Safety and Legal Assistant Program Coordinators and faculty, the course addresses, criminal and juvenile procedures, consumer law, family law, housing law, employment law, and many special interest issues. Basic trial preparation and presentation of a small claim are examined, and students are encouraged to present a small claim of their own. Guest experts are featured.
