This course studies the developing person across the life span. Current theoretical perspectives are applied to the study of biosocial, psychosocial and cognitive influences on development. Special emphasis is given to the extensive role which genetic influences play in total human development, as well as recognizing he crucial importance of the specific environmental contexts in which human development occurs
