Process and Acquisitions of Reading
Description:
A study of the process of language development, this course provides students with an understanding of the language and cognitive precursors to reading acquisition. Participants will demonstrate a knowledge of word recognition and the reading acquisition process. They will demonstrate an understanding of the role of experiential background, prior knowledge, motivation, and personal signifance to developing readers.
