Cyberlaw
Description:
Introduces students to emerging laws of cyberspace. Students will explore methods of investigating and preventing cybercrimes and infringements upon information security. Students will discuss laws governing e-commerce and intellectual property protections, focusing on landmark and other cases such as Napster. The class also will debate privacy rights and free speech on the Internet.
Prerequisite: CJS 111 or LGS 111 or LGS 253.
