Career Assessment and Planning

Description:
This career and life planning course helps students with the decisions, skills, and attitudes necessary for developing and achieving personal and educational objectives. The course emphasizes assessing one's values, skills, and interests, researching occupations, setting individual goals, and actively accomplishing those goals. The course is organized in 6 units; each unit is 2 or 3 weeks duration. Each unit consists of textbook chapters, videos, exercises, Internet reading, and on-line discussions. Students demonstrate their mastery of units by completing reports that are graded. Graded papers are submitted to the instructor electronically via Blackboard.
