Ethics
Description:
Ethics is the branch of philosophy that attempts to discover by rational methods the truth about right and wrong, good and bad, moral and immoral. This course critically examines existing systems of values and their applications to life situations. The realms of personal, social, and political ethics will all be given ample consideration. Also, consideration will be given to the views of some of the great masters of moral philosophy. The goal of this course is to help people improve their ability to understand what is involved in making intelligent ethical choices.
Prerequisite: exemption/completion of READ-091.
