Description:
Torts and Personal Injury Law, covers the fundamental legal principles of the law of civil wrongs and their appropriate remedies. Students will study the major areas of tort law, including intentional torts, negligence, and strict liability, and will learn about affirmative defenses and limitation of duties, including assumption of risk, contributory negligence, comparative negligence, immunity, and limited liability of property owners. Prerequisite: exemption/completion of READ-101.
