The Economics of War and Social Problems, presents a cost and benefits analysis of spending on war, national defense, social problems, and entitlement programs. Topics include but are not necessarily limited to health care, social security, income security (welfare), poverty, organized labor, and the environment. Prerequisite: ECON-101 or ECON-102. Three hours lecture each week.
