Prerequisite: MTH 1100 or MTH 1080 or math placement
In this introduction to descriptive and inferential statistics, students learn about presentation of data, measures of central tendency and dispersion, the binomial and normal probability distributions, sampling techniques, correlation and regression, and hypothesis testing (Z test, T test, chi-squares). Examples are selected from education, business, and the social and natural
sciences.
