College Mathematics I
Description:
Prerequisite: MTH 1040 or MTH 1080 or math placement
Students with majors other than mathematics, science, or
engineering learn linear modeling, graphical linear programming, matrix solutions to systems of equations, probability, and the use of difference equations in the mathematics of finance. Particular emphasis is placed on developing problemsolving skills with graphing calculators used extensively as a tool to enhance those skills.
This course is offered in both a traditional and Web-based
format. Web-based sections will have an additional lab fee.
