Description:
Discusses introductory computer concepts, data versus information, information retrieval techniques and the impact of computers on business and society; emphasizes application of technology. Computers are studied to familiarize students with the theoretical and applied principles of hardware and software. Computer laboratory sessions will introduce students to a variety of software packages that will include word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, communications, and database management functions.
