Program Description:
Technology management encompasses all aspects of management associated with the identification, development, acquisition, and application of technologies for the production of goods and services. Technology management is vitally important for both private-sector organizations, which must face the challenges associated with the fast pace of technological change, as well as public-sector organizations, which have an integral and defining role in providing regulations and policy that will shape the future of U.S. technological competitiveness.
The Master of Science in Technology Management is designed around three competency areas that are important for managers in a technology driven globally competitive business environment. These are strategic management, systems management, and operations management. (See also Executive Program for a Master of Science in Technology Management.) The Master of Science in Technology Management includes the General Program (focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship), Biotechnology Systems Management, and Technology Systems Management.
