Program Description:
Graduates of this program will be prepared to enter the emerging field of Web site development. Through coursework in Web applications and authoring, OOP, JavaScript, Java, Web Graphics, and writing, students will master the knowledge and skills necessary to assume responsibility in the workplace for the construction and maintenance of Internet and Intranet Web sites. It is anticipated that, in the future, courses such as these may be applicable toward nationally recognized certification in the industry. While it is essential that entering students have a familiarity with the use of a personal computer, no previous technical experience is required. Students choosing to continue their studies for the associate in applied science degree may utilize all the credits in this certificate toward the Information Services Technology A.A.S. degree.
